I'm the guy that ended up buying this bike! How ironic that I just happened to come across this. The frame is a little small but with a new Primo Seat post and Volume Hipster Bars. Its working out nicely. I'm about to switch up the gear ratio a bit and maybe change the forks and headset so I can change the stem.
This old GT Karakoram Elite was pretty cool, built as a single speed, it was too small for anyone in the immediate circle of pals
